20 ways to strengthen your empathy muscle. Enhance your capacity for empathy. Many of us put in effort to strengthen our muscles in our body so that we remain strong. We recognised that if we don't continue to strengthen our muscles they will grow weaker. The same can be said of our mind. Empathy is in the mind. When we practice empathy on a regular basis, we build empathy muscle. When we build our capacity for empathy, we strengthen how we engage with others. When we have strong empathy muscles, we tend to interact with empathy. However, if we don't continue to strengthen our empathy muscle, our capacity for empathy will weaken. Most people don't know what exercises to engage in. Exercises help us to strengthen our empathy muscle. Just as most of us need help with exercises to strengthen the muscles in our body, we need help with exercises to strengthen our empathy muscle. This program provides 22 + exercises to help you to strengthen your empathy muscle. There are exercises you can do alone and exercises you can do in a one-on-one situation, and exercises you can do in a group situation. The exercises are based on research and experience. All of these exercises have been tested and implemented in a variety of workplaces to improve empathy muscles in leaders and teams. The empathy exercises are not sequential, you can do them in any order, at any time. We recommend implementing only one or two of the empathy exercises at a time.
